NEMATIC LIQUID CRYSTALLINE ORGANOSILOXANES CROSSLINKABLE TO OPTICAL ANISOTROPIC POLYMER LAYERS

摘要

PURPOSE: New nematic organopolysiloxanes are provided which may be simply prepared on a large scale, easily converted to the nematic orientation state and used in the optical production of the anisotropic layers. CONSTITUTION: The compounds have 2 or more mesogenic side groups, one of which have at most 3 rings while all others have 2 rings, in which the rings 6-membered rings or bicycles of 6-membered rings and at least one of the mesogenic side groups contains a methacrylic or acrylic group.
