PURPOSE: The driving circuit suppresses the rapid discharge of an EL device(2), and suppresses the noise, and enables the reduction of the size of a switching device. CONSTITUTION: The driving circuit prevents the rapid discharge of the EL device; by charging the EL device by intervening a H bridge circuit(3) with an induction voltage generated in a coil(4), by making a first switching device(SW1) "ON" intermittently, by connecting the coil and the first switching device between a power terminal(VDD) and a power terminal(VSS); and by discharging the charged charge of the EL device intermittently by intervening the coil by making a second switching device(SW2) "ON" intermittently.
