PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure preventing a common contact and a movable contact from opening apart during the operation of a pushbutton switch and being even easier to machine while having high assembling accuracy. SOLUTION: A pushbutton switch is provided with an insulating substrate and a fixed contact body 14 made of a metal sheet having both a center contact 18 secured to the center of the insulating substrate and a first connecting terminal 20 secured to the end of the insulating substrate. Spacers 24a, 24b each having a greater plate thickness than the center contact 18 are provided on the insulating substrate in such a way as to surround the center contact 18. A movable contact body 28 made of a metal sheet having both a domed movable contact 30 covering the center contact 18 and a second connecting terminal 32 is provided. The lower part of the outer peripheral edge of the movable contact 30 is made to abut against the spacers 24a, 24b, and the center contact 18 and the movable contact 30 are spaced apart at a certain distance. The second connecting terminal 32 of the movable contact body 28 is secured on the insulating substrate.
