PURPOSE: A charge coupled device such as a video camera and surveillance camera is provided to prevent the short between a drain and a source. CONSTITUTION: The charge coupled device(110) includes a diode(54) for generating the DC bias voltage of a CCD unit(200) and a pulse circuit(101) combined with the CCD chip(110a) instead of a resistance. Herein, the pulse generation circuit includes a voltage generation transistor(101a), a resistance and a voltage source(101c) for supplying the DC bias voltage, and the drain(D1) of the voltage generation transistor is accessed the drain(D2) of a reset transistor(52). The source and the gate(G1) of the voltage generation transistor are accessed the each terminal of the voltage source.
