PURPOSE: A polarizing plate unit equipped with a polarizing plate and a separate film is to have the first separate film and the second separate film. CONSTITUTION: A polarizing plate unit(16) comprises: the first separate film(10) attached to one side of a polarizing plate(14) by an adherence layer(11); the second separate film(12) attached to the other side of the polarizing plate(14) by an adherence layer(8). The first and second separate films(10,12) are separated due to a low adhesive strength of the adherence layers(8,11). The polarizing plate(14) consists of the first protection film(3) and the second protection film(7). Accordingly, the protection film and the separate film for polarizing plate which has a remarkable optical characteristic due to a low optical anisotropy and interference non-uniformity are provided.
