PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a text display device which makes text display easily visible at respective displays even when the displays varying in the number of characters displayable per line are used and a record medium recording text data. SOLUTION: Line feed codes are stored in the text data (LE) in prescribed positions. Further, one or a plurality of sub-line feed codes are stored between the line feed codes and the next line feed codes. At the time of utilizing the display of a large screen, the line feed of the text is executed only by the line feed codes and at the time of utilizing the display of a small screen, the line feed of the text is executed by both of the line feed codes and the sub-line feed codes. Consequently, the displaying of the text subjected to the line feed in adequate positions is made possible without making the sizes of the characters to be displayed too small even at the time of utilizing the display of the small screen. |
