PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by an operator in the case of setting a sort mode and the number of copies equal to or above the number of the emergence bins of a postprocessing device (sorter unit). SOLUTION: In the case of setting the sort mode and depressing a start key (designating the start of copying) in a state where an original bundle is placed on an original platen, a series of copying job is performed when the set number of copies is not larger than the number of the emergence bins of the sorter unit; a series of copying job is to repeat copying operation that an original is automatically fed one by one from the original platen and set on a contact glass and image forming processing is performed by the set number of copies with respect to the original, and transfer paper where the same original image has been copied is emerged to the separate emergence bin. When the set number of copies is larger than the number of the emergence bins, a series of copying job is performed dividedly by the unit of the number of the emergence bins. When the transfer paper already copied in the emergence bin exceeds a maximum value that the transfer paper can be piled up in the midst of executing the job, the set number of copies is restricted to the number of the emergence binds and the copying job is interrupted. |
