MULTIWINDOW MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND DISPLAY METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid complexity on a display when window pictures which are more than required are displayed and to eliminate effect on user's operation using a window picture by erasing an existent window picture instead of a new window picture according to conditions. SOLUTION: When the multiwindow management device is supplied with a display object such as characters and an image from a user through an input device, a display means 11 displays the display object in a window picture on a display device such as a CRT. Then an erasing means 12 checks whether or not erasure conditions are met by an erasure condition deciding means 13 as a constituent means; when the conditions are met, a picture acquiring means 14 specifies a window picture to be erased and erases the window picture instead of a new window picture. When the conditions are not met, no window picture is erased.
