PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supervisory and control system capable of supervising the abnormality of a process without writing an abnormality message into a memory for supervisory. SOLUTION: Respective processes 11-1n set a process ID, abnormality flag of whether or not processing is to be finished when any abnormality occurs and timer value corresponding to the time required for series of processing to a memory 2 for supervisory and further updates the timer value each time series of processing are finished. A supervisory process 3 decrements or increments the timer value in the memory 2 for supervisory at every unit time and according to whether or not this object process is to be updated before this timer value reaches a fixed value, the occurrence of abnormality in that process is supervised. Corresponding to the setting of the abnormality flag, it is determined whether or not the processing of the process, in which abnormality occurs, is to be finished.
