PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light fault processing system capable of efficiently monitoring and processing a light fault without affecting system performance. SOLUTION: This light fault processing system for a computer system is provided with a CPU 101, operating system(OS) 107 to be executed on the CPU, memory 102 for storing a firmware 108 and other hardware 103. Each hardware is provided with a light fault reporting means 103a for storing detected light fault information and an error correcting means 103c for correcting an error caused by a light fault, the CPU is provided with an interruption reporting means 101d for reporting only the severe fault of disabling the operation continuation of the system as an interruption to the OS, the OS is provided with an FW interface means 107a for requesting the monitor of the light fault to the firmware without interrupting the execution of an application program, and the firmware is provided with a light fault processing means 108b for performing processing to the light fault when the light fault information is acquired from each hardware and the light fault is detected corresponding to a light fault monitoring request from the OS.
