PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a route guidance using the latest map data without requiring map memory medium and a drive. SOLUTION: In this navigation method, a departure point and a destination are transmitted from a server CSV loaded on a vehicle or a navigation device NAVI to an information center IFC through a cellular phone network, a route search processing portion RTS of the information center IFC searches a guidance route from the departure point to the destination and a data specifying the guidance route searched and a map data necessary for indicating the guidance route are transmitted to a server CSV loaded in a vehicle. The server CSV loaded on a vehicle inputs the guidance route data and the map data to the navigation device NAVI and the navigation device NAVI preserves the guidance route data and the map data and carries out the route guidance to the destination using these data. |
