PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite image of a wide dynamic range even when picking up the image of a moving object. SOLUTION: Concerning the image pickup device arranging plural lines of unit cells arranged with plural optic/electric converting parts a11-a22 and a common pixel amplifier c1 for inputting signals from the plural optic/electric converting parts, at least two a11 and a21 of plural optic/electric converting parts have different levels of sensitivity, and signals at different levels of sensitivity are outputted from the common pixel amplifier c1. Thus, a signal from the optic/electric converting parts of high sensitivity and a signal from the optic/electric converting parts of low sensitivity can be obtained within the same exposure period, both signals can be composited even in the case of a moving object, and the image of high picture quality and high dynamic range can be obtained.
