PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic speaker and a magnetic earphone where the weight of a vibrating plate is reduced, an excellent high frequency sound characteristic is obtained, and a reproduced sound is obtained without causing undesired distortion when vibration amplitude of the plate is increased. SOLUTION: The transducer is provided with a magnetic vibration plate 22 and a drive section 16 that receives a drive current based on a voice signal and acts magnetic force changing in correspondence to the voice signal on the magnetic vibration plate 22 to vibrate the magnetic vibration plate 22, and the magnetic vibration plate 22 has a thin plate or a thin film base and a magnetic thin film layer coated on the base.
