PURPOSE: The new compounds have optimum effects as drug because anticoagulation property and cytotoxicity to organisms are low. Conventional materials when they are used as AIDS therapeutic agent have problems causing marrow disorder and side effects used for long time and having inhibiting activity of blood coagulation system(anticoagulation activity) and possibility of appearance of resistant virus, thus are improper as drug. The purpose of the invention is to provide antiviral active compounds, especially HIV active compound, which has low anticoagulation activity and low cytotoxicity. CONSTITUTION: The invention relates to new compounds having antiviral activity, drugs containing the compounds as effective components, and antiviral materials. To provide antiretroviral active compounds having low anticoagulation activity and low cytotoxicity, the invention provides the compounds consisting of glucoside, having lipid binds at 2 position of sialic acid in which hydroxyls at 4, 7, 8, 9 position are completely sulfated or KDN in which hydroxyls at 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 position are completely sulfated, or their salts.
