PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deliver a proper message to a caller by selecting an automatic reply message in advance through the use of caller telephone number information and replying the opposite party with the selected message, after receiving the call automatically to use a specific reply message. SOLUTION: When an incoming call monitor section 102 of a telephone set 101 detects the arrival of an incoming call, an incoming call discrimination section 103 acquires the information on a caller telephone number and discriminates whether or not the caller telephone number is a specific caller telephone number. When the result of discrimination indicates that the incoming call is from a specific caller telephone number, an automatic replay processing section 104 corresponding to the specific caller telephone number conducts processing after the arrival of an incoming call automatically. The automatic replay processing section 104 uses an automatic replay message for the specific caller telephone number set in advance by the user, to replay an opposite party that makes the incoming call. Meanwhile, when the incoming call reaches from other telephone number than the specific caller telephone number, an automatic replay processing section 105 conducts processing with respect to a non-specific caller telephone number after the automatic arrival of the incoming call.
