PROPAGATION TIME STABILIZED OPTICAL FIBER WITH CONNECTOR AND CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propagation time stabilized optical fiber which is laid between devices and does not deteriorate propagation time characteristics to temperature variation (-20 to +40 deg.C). SOLUTION: This propagation time stabilized optical fiber 11 which has the propagation time characteristics improved by coating an optical fiber with a liquid crystal polymer having a negative coefficient of linear expansion in two layers and an optical fiber connector 30 is fitted to one terminal part of the optical fiber 11 through direct connector processing, thereby obtaining the propagation time stabilizing optical fiber with the connector characterized by that the mean propagation time temperature coefficient at -20 to +40 deg.C environment temperature is±5 ps/km. deg.C.
