PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the leakage of the magnetic flux to the outside of a movable-coil linear DC motor, to make a mover compact and lightweight, and to improve responsibility without increasing magnetic flux which leaks outside, by fixing a yoke which magnetically connects the first yoke to the second yoke to the end part of a stator. SOLUTION: A stator 1 is made up of the first yoke 2 of a flat plate, the second yoke 3 of the same flat plate arranged away from, and parallel to, the first yoke 2 by a given distance, the first permanent magnet 7 comprising a rare-earth permanent magnet fixed to the end part in the direction of the arrow B of the first yoke 2 and second yoke 3, and the second permanent magnet 8 consisting of the rare-earth permanent magnet fixed to the end part in the direction of the arrow A of the first yoke 2 and second yoke 3. Also, the third yoke 4 which magnetically connects the first yoke 2 to the second yoke 3 is fixed to the end part in the direction of the arrow B of the stator 1. This structure can reduce the leakage of the magnetic flux to the outside of a movable-coil linear DC motor.
