PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make obtainable high similarity between an image to be collated intended by a user and an example image even if the example image drawn by the user is not accurate. SOLUTION: When a collated image is first inputted to an image inputting part 1, an image information extracting part 3 extracts image information and stores it in an image information storing part 4. When an example image is inputted to the part 1 through a user interface 2 by a user, the part 3 extracts image information on the example image. Next, a reliability calculating part 5 calculates the reliability about the difference between the example image and the image to be collated based on quality proper to the example image. And, a similarity calculating part 6 calculates the similarity between the image to be collated and the example image based on image information of the image to be collated in the part 4, the image information of the example image and the reliability calculated by the part 5 and outputs it. |
