<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost, small contact transfer device of high quality and reliability using a power supply requiring no complex control, while preventing the missing of printing, decrease in density, and stains on the back of paper without depending on the environment and durability. SOLUTION: In a transfer device, a bias is applied to a transfer member 104 by a bias application means 105, and a toner 106 on a latent image carrier 101, with at least two kinds of additives of different average grain sizes added to the resin mother particles of the toner 106, is transferred onto the subject of transfer. The relation R>=0.350+0.001×H is satisfied wherein R (g/cc) is the loose apparent density of the toner and H the hardness (JISA) of the transfer member.</p> |
