PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make readable only a photographic image by using software having versatility even though it is filed by making the photographic image correspond to photographic information. SOLUTION: A transfer controlling means 111 transfers a photographic image and its photographic information which are linked from an image output device 2 to an image storing part 132 for reception and a photographic information storing part 133 separately and stores it in them. A file record controlling means 122 stores the photographic image stored in the part 132 at a prescribed address of an image storing part 136 for storage. Also, a thumbnail image file consisting of thinning data of the photographic image, the photographic information about the photographic image and the address of the photographic image in the part 136 is produced for each photographic image and is stored in a data storing part 135 for retrieval.
