PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer device which can surely notify a client being going to use the printer of the printer information. SOLUTION: When an error detection part 25 detects a change of the printer state, an error notification part 30 automatically notifies a computer of the same segment as a printer of the printer state via a communication control part 22. The part 30 also notifies the computer of the printer state as long as a printer state acquisition request is given from the computer even when the part 25 detects no state change of the printer.
