PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor which transmits the drive force efficiently to a mover by reducing the elements through which the drive force generated in a piezoelectric element leaks to outside. SOLUTION: This is an ultrasonic motor 1 which is equipped with a piezoelectric element 10 for generating drive force, being oscillated by an inputted drive signal and support members 11 and 11 for supporting the piezoelectric element 10 onto a substrate 7. The support member 11 is equipped with a signal supply function which supplies the piezoelectric element 10 with a drive signal. Accordingly, there is no necessity to provide a signal transmission means separately, so the leakage of oscillation generated in the piezoelectric element 10 becomes smaller as compared with before. Therefore, the ultrasonic motor 1 transmits the drive force efficiently to the mover 12a. Moreover, by making it have elasticity by providing the support member 11 with a constriction, the support member 11 doubles as a pressure contact mechanism which brings the piezoelectric element 10 into pressure contact with the mover 12a. In this case, the leakage of the oscillation generated in the piezoelectric element 10 becomes smaller more.
