AEROSOL AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING AEROSOL

PURPOSE: A method for forming an aerosol by heating a tube containing a material in liquid form and condensing volatilized material is provided which can form the aerosol without a compressed gas propellant. CONSTITUTION: An aerosol is formed by supplying a material in liquid form to a tube(23) having an inner diameter of 0.05-0.53 mm(preferably 0.1 mm) and heating the tube(23) such that the material volatilizes and expands out of an open end(25) of the tube(23). The volatilized material combines with ambient air such that volatilized material condenses to form the aerosol. An apparatus(21) for generating such an aerosol, and a method for generating such an aerosol are also disclosed. The material in liquid form is supplied to the tube(23) at a speed of over 1 mg/sec.
