<p>PURPOSE: A decoder and a method are provided to improve the functional capability, and to simplify the constitution. CONSTITUTION: The decoder is installed; a compressing device(16) to offer picture data decoded by a decoder into a memory device by compressing; an extending device(17) to offer the picture data compressed by the compressing device remembered in the memory device into the decoder by extending. The decoding method comprises: a first step to remember the picture data decoded by a decoding process in the memory device; a second step to extend the compressed picture data remembered in the memory device, and to decode code data based on the extended picture data.</p> |
