PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency inclusive of a single-stone type converter, for a power factor improving circuit through boost converter constitution. SOLUTION: A power factor improving circuit, which shares switching for a boost converter, including a choke coil for applying AC voltage through rectifying circuits (D1-D4) and a capacitor C1 and a switching transistor for turning on or turning off the current of the primary winding of a main transformer T1 of a single stone type converter and performs power improvement by the on-off control of this switching transistor Q1 and also performs the stabilization of output voltage, is constituent such that a load RL is supplied in series or parallel with the voltage, which is made by rectifying the induced voltage of the secondary winding of an auxiliary transformer T2, where the choke coil of the boost converter is made the primary winding by a diode D8 and the voltage which is made by rectifying the induced voltage of the secondary winding of the main transformer T1 by a diode D7. |
