PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a code image, which serves as a part to be printed with high fineness and a part to be solid printed, with accurate quality. SOLUTION: The part to be printed with high fineness is brought under heating value control so that the area of a print pattern of respective dots is smaller than the area of the recording surface of a thermal recording element and the part to be solid printed is printed by printing many print dots of certain size, each printed with one pulse of an electricity feed signals, in short cycles. For the purpose, the number of columns of a code image data area is secured double and column data which are all composed of 0 are inserted for every other column to perform conversion to double resolution only in the column direction (S814). Then only the part of the code image data to be solid printed is converted so as to be filled with '1'. |
