PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means that creates a virtual sound source behind a listener from a front sound source with comparatively simple signal processing. SOLUTION: A low-pass filter LPF1 extracts a low frequency component from a signal output 14 for a rear left channel speaker and a high-pass filter HPF1 extracts a high frequency component and an adder 27 sums them via amplifiers with coefficients K1, K3 respectively. A signal output 15 for a rear right channel speaker is similarly processed by an LPF2, an HPF2, and amplifiers with coefficients K2, K4 and an adder 29 sums the signals. A signal output 14 and a signal output 15 are added by an adder 28, a phase shifter circuit 30 separates the sum into two, a phase difference is added to them and fed to adders 27, 29 via amplifiers having coefficients K5, K6 to obtain the medium frequency component. Outputs of the adders 27, 29 are amplified by amplifiers 31, 33 and reproduced by speakers 32, 34 arranged to the left and right in front of a listener 35 to obtain rear localization. |
