PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air flow control type smoke separation device in which an indoor corner can be easily made a smoking space so as not to let smoke flow out so that covering other smokers inside the smoking space with smoke can be avoided. SOLUTION: A machine main body 2 comprises an air outlet 4 forming an air curtain 3 sectioning an inside room A, a suction opening 5 positioned in one side of spaces sectioned by the air curtain 3, and an exhaust opening 6 positioned in the other space. A blower 7 and an air cleaner 8 are provided inside the machine main body 2 so as to be positioned between the suction opening 5 and the exhaust opening 6. The air exhaust amount from the exhaust opening 6 is set so as to be greater than an exterior drawing air amount Q by the air curtain 3, and the space of the suction opening 5 side is made a negative pressure condition and a smoking space 9. Smoke is directly sucked from the suction opening 5 to be purified and is exhausted from the exhaust opening 6 to a non-smoking space 17 so that the smoke that is not directly sucked cannot be leaked from the negative pressure smoking space 9.
