PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault notice method by which fault information of a network using pluralities of communication protocols is easily grasped and to provide a display device that displays the fault information and a fault influence range on pluralities of the communication protocols due to the fault. SOLUTION: Information for each communication protocol is stored as a database 1 and an inter-layer cooperation management section 3 correlates each data with other data. On the occurrence of a fault of a communication network, based on fault information informed from a fault location, a fault communication protocol, fault information and a fault influencing range on other communication protocols due to the fault are informed of a communication network management device as an alarm. This is displayed on a fault display screen and the alarms are propagated on other display screen relating to the alarm and displayed.
