PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the power supply of a communication apparatus such as a surveying device or a portable telephone by remote control by preventing the possibility that the power supply of the surveying device is not turned on in a disaster or the power supply of the portable telephone is kept on in a region where its use is prohibited. SOLUTION: The power switch 3 of an electronic device 1 with a communication function A is controlled by an electronic device 5 with a communication function B. The electronic device 5 with the communication function B is a device having a very small transmission output or a device having only a reception function, thus it has no anxiety about battery exhaustion and less adverse effect by electromagnetic waves. The power switch 3 of the electronic device 1 with the communication function A is controlled by the command of the electronic device 5 with the communication function B in a disaster or in a region where the use of a portable telephone is prohibited, thus the power supply of a communication apparatus such as a surveying device or the portable telephone can be controlled by remote control.
