METHOD FOR FOLDING SAFE AIR BAG FOR CARRYING INSTRUMENT

PURPOSE: A method for folding a safe air bag for a carrying instrument is provided to push the bag toward a shaft direction while moving a constraint apparatus for forming a pleat of a ring shaped accordion shape. CONSTITUTION: A method for folding a safe air bag includes:a step for expanding the bag along a central shaft; a step for constraining the expansion of the bag toward the radius direction on flat surfaces of plural radius directions having intervals along the central shaft; a step for ballooning the bag by pushing the bag toward the shaft direction; a step for moving a constraint flat surface to another constraint flat surface; and a step for eliminating the constraint force while the wall of the ballooned bag being perpendicular to the central shaft of the bag and occupying the parallel surfaces. By this structure, a ring shaped accordion shape pleat is formed on the bog.
