PURPOSE: The apparatus is for correcting the misalignment of the position setting of an electronic component to increase the precision of recognition of the electronic component due to the lack of the light intensity and due to the irregularity of light irradiation. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus illuminates an electronic component(P) supported in a mounting head(7), and recognizes the electronic component visually with a camera(21). An illumination reflector(12), which is arranged on the bottom surface of the mounting head, has a reflector reflecting the illumination totally, a luminous body which is arranged in the reflector and radiates by absorbing the illumination light of a first light source(23) and a selectively-transmitting body which is arranged in the luminous body and transmits the illumination light of the first light source and absorbs the illumination light of a second light source(24). The apparatus makes the illumination light incident onto the camera from the illumination reflector uniform.
