PURPOSE: A compressor is provided to prevent the turbulence which interrupts the introduction of the lubricant into the axial slot of a shaft and to improve the oil pick-up performance. CONSTITUTION: The compressor is composed of:a housing(22) having an oil storing tub(54) for accepting the liquid lubricant; a compressor mechanism(36) installed in the housing(22); an opening edge(68, 73) for accepting the lubricant in the storing tub(54) by extending to the bottom of the surface(56) of the lubricant in the storing tub(54); and a guide(70, 70') having penetrating slots(72, 72'), which is connected with the oil storing tub(54) around the opening edge(68, 73), formed on the lower face, and installed to be fixed to the housing(22) to improve the oil pick-up performance of a shaft or a tube.
