PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent print through in the case of double side printing and to avoid deterioration in reproducibility due to reduction of recording density by obtaining image information showing the relation between an image on a front side and an image on a rear side and controlling recording characteristic such as recording density on the front side or the rear side based on the image information. SOLUTION: The image information showing the relation between an image on a front side and an image on a rear side is obtained based on respective image data of the front side and the rear side to control at least recording characteristics such as recording density on the front side or rear side. For example, an image recording system is configured with an image recorder 71, a CPU 72, a ROM 73, a RAM 74 and a display device 75 or the like. Furthermore, a program realizing this recording method is recorder in a recording medium that is read by a computer such as a CD-ROM 79. When this program is started, image data stored temporarily are read and image recording processing is executed, the image data after the processing are stored in the RAM 74 and outputted to the image recorder 71. |
