PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing method where crosstalk between both ears is cancelled accurately even at a low frequency in an audio system with the left right channels. SOLUTION: In the audio signal processing method for pluralities of channels denoting a three-dimensional sound field generated respectively from the left/ right speakers placed at a distance from a preferable position of a listener, a) a distance between the position of the speakers and the preferred position is selected, b) an optimum amount of crosstalk compensation between both ears that is a function of the selected distance is selected based on the selected distance, c) the optimum amount of the crosstalk compensation is applied to the left and right channel. The crosstalk compensation between both ears is conducted by using close ear and far ear response transfer functions that are converged to different values at a low frequency. |
