PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming device allowing a process cartridge being used to be used in plural devices by automatically resetting the variety of initial data needed for toner density control, when mounting of the process cartridge that was used in another device is detected. SOLUTION: Data stored in the memory 374 of a process cartridge 390 are compared with data stored in a device main body 14, and if a toner density signal control voltage value and a reference toner density value are equal, the process cartridge is determined to be the one usually used; if they are not equal, the process cartridge is determined to be the one used in another image forming device and initial data are reset. |
