PURPOSE: The aim is to provide a method of treating asthma, in mammals, including humans, which comprises administering to such human an effective amount of a substituted azaspirane. CONSTITUTION: It is found that substituted azaspirane compounds(formula(1)):wherein n is 3-7; m is 1 or 2; R¬1 and R¬2 are the same or different, and H or C5-C10 direct chain in R¬1 and R¬2 both together or branched alkyl, and C3-C7 cyclic alkyl group; R¬3 and R¬4 are the same or different and H or C1-C3 containing direct alkyl or nitrogen bonded C5-C8 containing heterocyclic group, their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, and their hydrides or solvent compounds are useful for treatment of athma. The preferred compound is N,N-dimethyl-8,8-dipropyl-2-azaspiro£4.5|decane-2-propanamine dimalate which R¬1 and R¬2 are propyl, R¬3 and R¬4 are methyl, m is 1, n is 3.
