PURPOSE: The control apparatus is provided to safely obtain the position establishment of a strand supporting element for strand guiding in a fixed density. CONSTITUTION: The control apparatus has a hydraulic pressure control cylinder(12) contacted with a supporting stand(9,10) having other strand supporting element(6) contacted with a strand supporting element(5). The movement of the strand supporting element(5) is detected through a position sensor(17), and is controlled by an automatic controller(26). A user can drive the hydraulic pressure control cylinder(12) by laying a direction control valve(21A,21B) for enabling converting through a 3-level controller (26) to safely obtain the position of the strand guide.
