PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an electric double-layer capacitor which has high productivity and reliability by positively sealing a separator, polarizable electrodes and an electrolytic solution into a gasket. SOLUTION: An electric double-layer capacitor comprises basic cells 6a in which a separator 4, a pair of polarized electrodes 1a and an electrolytic solution 3 are accommodated inside a gasket 5a. An opening in one surface of the gasket 5a is sealed with a sheet-like current collector 2a. An opening in the other surface of the gasket 5a is sealed with a current collector 2b. The current collector 2b comprises two stacked current collector sheets 10a, which are the same as that for the current collector 2a. The current collectors 2b are provided at the outermost side of a laminated cell body 9a comprising two stacked basic cells 6a. There is hardly a possibility that cracks or breaks occur on both of the two current collectors 10a, and the leakage of the electrolytic solution 3 in the basic cell 6a is prevented. |
