METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EMPHASIZING DISCRETE PIXEL IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To emphasize a concerned feature such as the edge of a structure in an image without emphasizing an artifact by reconfiguring an emphasized image based on a emphasized image with a 1st frequency and an image with a 2nd frequency. SOLUTION: Data representing pixels demarcating an image are generated, the image is decomposed partially to generate an image with pluralities of spatial frequencies including an image with a 1st frequency and an image with a 2nd frequency. Then gain data for the image with the 1st frequency are generated based on the image with the 2nd frequency and the gain data are applied to the image with the 1st frequency to generate the emphasized image with the 1st frequency and the emphasized image is reconfigured based on the emphasized image with the 1st frequency and the image with the 2nd frequency. A matrix 36 demarcated by data acquired by this system is used to reconfigure a synthesis image 38 and a concerned feature 40 is demarcated in the synthesized image 38.
