PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the ringing of a demodulation waveform and to improve the nonlinearity of frequency-to-voltage characteristics. SOLUTION: This demodulator is provided with a limiter circuit 2 for converting frequency modulated or phase modulated input signals to pulse signals, a NOT circuit 3, a delay circuit 4 for delaying the pulse signals and turning them to delay signals, a multiplication circuit 5 for outputting the integration signals of the pulse signals and the delay signals, a diode clip circuit 7 for removing the ringing of the waveform of the integration signals and an integration circuit 6 for smoothing the output signals and obtaining demodulation signals. By inputting the pulse signals provided with the ringing outputted from the multiplication circuit 5 to the diode clip circuit 7, removing the ringing of the waveform and inputting them to the integration circuit 6, the demodulation signals for which the ringing of the demodulation waveform is removed and the nonlinearity of the frequency-to-voltage characteristics is improved are obtained.
