PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary magnetic head drum device thin in thickness as a whole and capable of dealing with multi-channel. SOLUTION: A lower rotor 11a of a rotary transformer 11 and a rotor 12b of an upper rotary transformer 12 are arranged back to back under a rotary shaft (flange 7), while a stator 11b of the lower rotary transformer is arranged at a lower drum 2, and a stator 12a of the upper rotary transformer 12 is arranged at n upper drum 1. Thereby, the number of channels can be doubled by increment of thickness in the direction of height of a drum in which the height of the upper rotary transformer and the height of the stator are totaled.
