PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform drivers driving vehicles ahead of an emergency vehicle of the approach and the kind of the emergency vehicle by detecting a signal outputted from the emergency vehicle and displaying the detected signal on a display board arranged ahead of the emergency vehicle in its running direction. SOLUTION: A sensor S1 for detecting an emergency vehicle 2 running in response to an emergency state is arranged on a prescribed position of a road 1. When the vehicle 2 running in response to the emergency state generates a required signal set up in accordance with the sort of the vehicle 2, the approach and the kind of the vehicle 2 are detected by the 1st and 2nd sensors S1, S2. Namely when a police car runs as the emergency vehicle 2 in an arrow (a) direction, the existence and the kind of the vehicle 2, i.e., the vehicle 2 is a police car, are detected by the 1st sensor 1 and displayed on a display board 5. Drivers of vehicles 6, 7 running ahead of the vehicle 2 can recognize the urgently running police car being approached from the back of their vehicles.
