PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CAD system which can efficiently design a building even when the room layout is changed in the building. SOLUTION: This CAD system is provided with a floor plan design means 31 for arranging parts on the plan of a building through the use of parts data concerning the parts to be arranged in the building the designing the plan of the building and a wall line setting means 32 for setting a wall line in a force resisting wall among the walls of the building. The wall line of the means 32 and the floor plan of the building or the means 31 are set on a same screen 2. Therefore, the building is efficiently designed compared with the case that the different screens are operated since the setting works of the building plane and the wall line are executed on the same screen 2.
