PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optically couple a semiconductor element with an optical fiber with high coupling efficiency by performing position adjustment for optical coupling through easy operation in a short time and suppressing a position shift in YAG laser welding below submicron. SOLUTION: A guide 6 has its one end 11 in nearly the same direction with the light incidence end surface of an optical fiber 7 with a ferrule 9 and fixed directly to an end surface 10 of a pipe 5 by laser welding 20 so that the end surface 11 comes into point contact 14 at least three points. Thus, the surface is brought into contact at the three points and then the flatness and finish precision of the surface need not be increased to lower the component cost and reduce position shifts at the time of pressure application and laser welding.
