PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for efficiently inserting an optical fiber into an optical fiber insertion hole bored in an optical connector. SOLUTION: An optical connector assembling tool 10 is equipped with a plate type tool main body 11 which is installed almost horizontally, a connector fixation part 13 which supports the optical connector 12 so that it can tilt, and a fiber support part 15 which moves an optical fiber 14 to and away from the connector fixation part 13. When the optical fiber supported by the fiber support part is pressed in toward the optical connector fixed to the connector fixation part and inserted into an optical fiber insertion hole, the optical connector is slanted by the connector fixation part 13 and the optical fiber insertion hole can easily be positioned at the optical fiber tip fixed to the fiber support part 15 to make it easy to insert the optical fiber into the optical fiber insertion hole, thereby easily assembling the optical connector atop the optical fiber in a short time.
