PURPOSE: A video special effect device is provided to easily and simply control a variable value of a special effect system using a flag-in object by adopting an independent flag-in object. CONSTITUTION: The video special effect device comprises a core program object and a plurality of rendering processor flag-in program objects. The plurality of rendering processor flag-in program objects respond the core program object, and are arranged in a directed acyclic graph. The plurality of rendering processor flag-in program objects render an output data associated with another image received from a preceding rendering processor in a directed acyclic graph and/or a continuous image of a video signal from an input data which is associated with the video signal. The rendering processor flag-in program objects operates in response to an operating variable associated with the rendering processor.
