摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electrolyte secondary battery that is highly safe, even when amorphous material is applied to a negative electrode active material. SOLUTION: This organic electrolyte secondary battery has a positive electrode 1, a negative electrode 2, and organic solvent based electrolyte 4, the negative electrode is defined by forming a negative electrode mix layer on at least one surface of a metallic negative electrode collector, and an amorphous material is applied to at least part of the active material of the negative electrode. When the strength of the amorphous material is not less than 4% of the whole in the area ratio in X-ray diffraction measurements in a discharge state of the negative electrode mix, the total thickness of the negative electrode is set to 10-130 μm, and copper foil having a thickness not less than 8% of the total thickness of the negative electrode is used as the negative electrode collector. Preferably, the total thickness of the negative electrode is 30-100 μm, and the thickness of the copper foil of the negative electrode collector is 15-25 μm.
