PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable television to be watched leisurely without being concerned about viewing charge all day long by providing a rental function for on day, which imposes a fixed charge no matter how long television is watched in one day. SOLUTION: A control unit 2 makes a read/write unit 3 level for using, etc. from a television card 11 and shows the level for using on a display part 4. When a power-on signal is inputted by a remote control 10, the unit 2 sends a power-on signal to a light receiving part 9a through a light emitting unit 8 to make a television set 9 watchable. Then when the residual level for using the card 11 are more than the prescribed degrees of prepaid quantity for one day, the unit 2 calculates its residual level for using and writes the residual level for using on the card 11. Next, the unit 2 calculates viewing time from the present time to the prescribed end time of the prepaid quantity for one day and shows the viewing time on the display part 4. Television can be watched, regardless of how often the television set 9 is turned on/off until the prescribed time. |
