<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymeric toner containing a parting agent that imparts offset resistance, having a low fusion temperature (capable of coping with high- speed printing), suited for use as a color toner, and being excellent in preservability and flowability so as to achieve uniform picture quality with high resolution. SOLUTION: A polymeric toner has a core-and-shell structure obtained by suspending, in an aqueous dispersion medium containing a dispersion stabilizer, a composition such as a monomer for a core, containing at least a polymeric monomer, a coloring agent, and a parting agent, and polymerizing it using a polymerization initiator to manufacture colored particles for the core, and further adding a monomer for a shell and a polymerization initiator thereto to cause polymerization. In this case, the parting agent is soluble in the monomer for the core and the number average particle diameter of the parting agent in the cross section of the polymeric toner is in the range of 0.02 to 3μm.</p> |
